For this photoshoot, we went to Centennial Lakes in Edina. It was very quiet because there was a bit of heavy snow. This was one of the only snowy days this past winter in Minnesota. Basic Newborn Beanie Crochet Pattern with Handspun Yarn

Free Basic Beanie Pattern with Handspun Yarn

 

Hook size N (9mm)

Handspun or bulky yarn (yarn used in example is 7-8 wpi)

Abbreviations:
Ch – chain
Dc – double crochet
Sc – single crochet
Sl st – slip stitch

Round 1:  (magic loop method ) Ch 3, 11 Dc inside ring join with Sl st at the top of the ch3 to make round. Pull ring tight. (including the ch3 you should have 12 stitches)
Round 2: Ch 3, 2 Dc in each Dc and Sl st at the top of ch 3 (24 total)

Round 3 through 6: Ch 3, Dc in each Dc and sl st at the top of the ch3

Round 7: Ch 1, Sc in each Dc and Sl st at the top of the ch 1, finish off and weave in ends
